How LootWire collects, classifies, verifies, updates and corrects automated gaming, Twitch, deal, event and campaign information.
Core principle: do not turn missing data into facts
LootWire combines automated feeds with clearly defined classification rules. When a source is incomplete, the site should preserve that uncertainty instead of guessing. “Unknown,” “TBD,” “partial metadata” and similar labels are intentional.
Source priority
- Official platform or publisher APIs and feeds are preferred when available.
- Public structured endpoints may be used when no maintained official directory exists.
- Public indexes can be used for discovery when their role is disclosed.
- Manual or curated events must identify whether a date or time is confirmed, partially confirmed or expected.
Twitch data
Live viewer counts and rankings can change every minute. Historical metrics described as “observed by LootWire” are based on snapshots collected by the site and should not be treated as official all-time Twitch statistics.
Drops and badges
LootWire can display public campaign metadata, rewards and eligibility information, but Twitch and the game publisher ultimately determine personal eligibility, progress and reward delivery.
Gaming news
The news wire surfaces headlines from external publishers and links users to the original reporting. LootWire does not republish full third-party articles in the automated feed.
